KTA crystals are excellent NLO crystal mainly used for Optical Parametric Oscillation (OPO) and its energy conversion efficiency for tunable laser radiation could be morn than 50%. Besides, KTA has higher damage threshold as well as larger NLO coefficients and electro-optic coefficients and lower absorption in the 3-4 um spectrum range than KTP.
